A Thriller Of An Exhibition – Michael Jackson: A Fashion Legacy

Nothing says Halloween and pop spectacle quite like Michael Jackson’s Thriller. This midterm break, we are thrilled to bring a once-in-a-lifetime pop culture experience exclusively to Ireland.

Presented in association with Julien’s Auctions, the world-renowned entertainment auction house, the Museum of Style Icons is hosting the only European stop for some of the most famous, valuable, and historic music treasures in the world before they head to auction in Abu Dhabi this December.

For just 10 days from Friday, 30th October – Sunday, 8th November 2026, you can stand feet away from music history.

This is a FREE walk-in experience available exclusively at the Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre.

The Bad World Tour Illuminated ‘Thriller’ Jacket: The spectacular custom light-up LED jacket created by Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush to bring the drama of Thriller to massive stadium crowds across the globe.
The Motown 25 Rhinestone Glove: Michael Jackson’s original crystal glove, worn during his unforgettable 1983 television performance of Billie Jean where he debuted the Moonwalk to the world.
Motown 25 Rehearsal Loafers: The black leather Florsheim loafers worn during rehearsals for that history-making performance.
Iconic Tour Wardrobe: Rare costumes and stage-worn pieces from the Bad, Dangerous, and HIStory world tours.

Meet Legendary Costume Designer Michael Bush

To celebrate the opening on Friday, 30th October at 11:00 AM, Michael Jackson’s longtime costume designer, close friend, and collaborator of over 25 years, Michael Bush, will officially open the exhibition.

Michael Bush will be on-site to share incredible stories of dressing the King of Pop, meet visitors, and sign copies of his acclaimed book, The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson.
